What's "Elms of Camden" Guest Score and Reviews clients says
Breakfast was phenomenal. The Daisy room was comfortable and quiet. Everything was luxurious like we were in our own home and did not feel like a hotel stay at all. The shower was wonderful.
Great welcome ! Decor perfect , large room , 4 mn walk to downtown .. Super breakfast in nice surroundings.. Both are great people ..
It was a locally-owned bed and breakfast. We were treated like first class guests from the moment they opened the door for us when we arrived to the ease of checkout. We didn't even need to ring the door bell. We were greeted by the owner and the cook. I would highly recommend The Elms of Cambdon if you want a very nice relaxing getaway.
Characterful. Easy walk to the centre of Camden, which was well worth visiting. Gary is both entertaining and helpful. Together with James (quieter but equally attentive) they made the perfect hosts.
Gary and James were the consummate hosts! They gave me a warm welcome when I arrived and provided me with great recommendations for restaurants and directions, carried my suitcase to my room, showed me how to use all the devices (air conditioner had its own remote control). THe home is a charming 1806 house and the appointments are cute and comfortable. The room was quaint and had it's own bath and Jacuzzi tub (lovely after a long day on the water and walking around town). The bed was comfortable. They provide snacks as well as a Keurig for coffee and tea all day in a small room off the living room. A small refrigerator was also made available for the guests to use. The two-course breakfasts they served were superb! Tables were setup in a small garden area with lovely linens and a menu showing the offerings for the day. Probably THE best breakfast I've ever had at a B&B! Gourmet! Breakfast was served from 8-9. I had an early morning ferry to catch, and they were kind enough to accommodate my schedule. I typically went down to the garden (peaceful) a bit early to begin my first cup of coffee, and they promptly brought out my breakfast so that I could make the ferry on time. The property was within walking distance of the village of Camden, approximately a 12-minute walk. If I ever find myself back in Camden, I will absolutely book The Elms of Camden.
The breakfasts were outstanding: creative, local produce, beautifully presented. The location in village of Camden was perfect for the special weekend event I was attending. Even though the Elms is on the main artery thru the village - US Route 1 - its site features includes large trees, lots of shade, lovely garden that enhances the visit. Having my own key for access to house, whenever coming or going, especially convenient. Gary and James have given great attention to every detail of a guest's visit.
Staying at this Inn made our vacation special. The proprietors were warm, welcoming and gave us some great ideas on what to see/experience. Additionally breakfast each morning was far beyond our expectations, so good!
Beautiful and spacious rooms. Perfect location
The location was excellent, within walking distance of everything downtown. Didn't have breakfast as the electricity was out due to a storm. The owners were friendly and very helpful and kind.
Everything was lovely! James and Gary were the perfect hosts, incredibly friendly, with great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. The home was built in 1806, in great shape and nicely decorated. Breakfast was two courses each morning, served on the patio the August weather was perfection. The rooms were very comfortable, zero complaints, will gladly stay here next time were up in Camden!!
Great location. Wonderful hospitality and breakfast was delicious.
A wonderful New England house, traditional yet with every modern comfort.
Our hosts were amazing and took great care to see that we were ok. They made a huge effort to produce an exceptional breakfast which we ate outside. The entire experience was outstanding and I would recommend the Elms of Camden to anyone.
The location was perfect. The hosts are very nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and enjoyed in a beautiful setting. Definitely would return and highly recommend.
Hosts were very helpful & attentive Really loved the hiking at Fernald Neck Preserve nearby-SO tranquil and also the Transportation Museum. James was instrumental in giving us details that enhanced our trip! Garys simple but delicious AND nutritious breakfasts gave us the perfect start to our demanding itinerary! (I didnt gain a pound on that trip- yay!) I have to come back for some blueberry pancakes
Excellent hosting, outstanding breakfasts. Weve stayed in B&Bs all over the country and this ranked on top!
